valve and Piston-not a good relationship

I'm putting the 347 together still, now i;m kinda in a pickle. I went to summit today to pick up parts and talked to the mustang chick i always deal with (holly, she knows her stangs) My set-up is DSS 347 with -3cc flat top, gt-40x heads, trick flow stage 2 cam, and 1.6 FRPP roller rockers. I'm gonna check piston to valve clearance but i was wanting to know if anyone is running this cam and if they had any clearance problems.

that cam will clear all day with those heads, pistons and cam u could clear a stage 3 if u wanted to however e
its always good to check p to v just to be safe though

I'd agree it Should clear. Take the time & do a clay test. Do you have a solid converted HR lifter?

Most aftermarket pistons have larger valve notches to allow larger valves & higher lift/duration cams. Take your time & do the test.

the dss short block should have piston notches for 2.05 valves, so yes yours should deff clear, i have used there stuff with 700lift cams and vr junior heads(2.05 valve) and have had enough clearance with .0045 head gasket..

yes. more or less a nice day car but thats what it was bought as. I checked it today and came up with about .200 clearance. I had to buy guide plates but now i have to send the heads out to have the pedestals machined the thickness of the plate.
