View Full Version : My 608 HP cobra vs. 501 RWHP 06 Z06

I know some of you folks aren't impressed with street racing and shy upon it, but to each his own. My buddy has an 06 z06 with longtubes and midpipe, sapositly put down 501 rwhp. I had a passenger, he didnt. probly an easy 800-900lb weight difference. First race, he slipped the tires. 2nd race some retard on a bike was behind us and I let out of it, he scared the piss outa me. 3rd and 4th race just shows the power of those damn cars. His 4th gear pulls like my 2nd does. Mind you I have roughly 100 more HP then him lol. My slow shifting didn't help but life goes on. Enjoy!

Please don't street race. It excessivly wears the pavement.

Wow. That Z06 is impressive and your Cobra is no slouch either. Most street cars would hate to see either of you on the street.

What? By most im saying like 9.9 outta ten. Every once in a while you might find some freak of nature out there, like that green thing of yours Mike. Its still a street car right?

x 2. Even if I did a built motor and set of twins, I'd still be afraid of the green machine if I seen it at @ red light.....:goodidea:

Actually I would get smoked on the street...I get VERY little traction even with the stickest tires I can find... and the C4 pulls the 1/4 mile great But long term..I would get killed!
And I don't street race ...too much to go wrong
Street car...yes.
Street racer...no
Race track...YES!

Nice, I knew those z06's were fast but damn. btw your car sounds awesome Dan. Hopefully I'll be able to make it down to monroeville again soon to roll with you guys.

Another thing to think about....sounds like your windows where open. I saw his where closed. Open windows dont help your drag either.
