got the shifter mounted, neutral safety switch wired and clutch pedal deleted. just waiting for the big stuff to show up...c-4, flexplate, bell housing, converter etc. wanted to do this with my white 03 and figured i would just go ahead and get it done now with this car. haven't done much racing this year and i should be back up and running in time for the nmra colombus event. plenty of time for good runs and good air. the car should be much faster with the auto/transbrake setup and will make the suspension much easier to tune. to bad we don't have a good local track to do some testing at:mad:

here is a quick pic of the shifter all setup and ready to go, took some more weight out too!!!:D

trans king tranny. i had the texas boys http://www.strictlypro.com put the conversion package together. i figured since nobody has taken a twin screw c-4 car down the track faster than strictly, they would be the ones to put everything together for me. richard was pretty adimant about the gearing and how tight the converter needs to be so we'll see what happens.

honestly Bill, i have no clue who is doing the converter, they said they have someone local build them for them.

I think he needs to ditch the glove box lid to get there. All that weight is holding him back! ;)

That could be it! That .08 second is probably killing him. if he took another patch of carpet out it might get him there too. Or maybe just do the good old take out your seats trick.:D

EDIT: why cant we directly post pictures.....as in use the tags?

I still see alot of sound deadener that could be scraped off the floor if you haven't already done it. A buddy of mine did that in his Fox and saved around 10 pounds.

+1

Just did that to my fox a few weeks ago. Some of it was stuck on there pretty good, but since your car isn't 21 years old it might not be as bad. Definitely something to thing about if you have the carpet out again. I'd say it's at least 10 pounds worth.

BrianJuan works for Inches Nursury. I saw him planting trees today down the road from my house just this morning. He is going to come over and do some painting for me on the house in exchange for some pesos. Let him know if you need any work done.

Since you had the carpet out, you know that is a heavy chunk. Go ta Walmart and get some cheapo carpet for $9 a roll and use some spray stuff to stick it in !!
