Yes, thats what I'm racing (I hope). Going to play around with some launch stuff, probably wont be able to shift it real fast but am going to try.

seenalot of stangs today but one deff caught my attention. It was killercarniry. for such a low compression motor that car rips. i think i seen him average 12.1x 12.2 and it just sounds so healthy. if this car flys being as heavy as it is now once he puts his turbo on look out!!!!

Terrible day for me at the track

1st pass, blew the first coupler off the turbo apart. Made a half asses fix with friction tape, electrical tape and wire ties.

2nd pass, car laid over, back fired, ran like crap, found the coupler wasnt sealed up real well. amazing considering the excellent repair I made ;)

Fixed that, went out for my third pass and proceeded to frag the rearend. At a minimum it broke an axle, but it sounds deeper, took a pile of them to push it off. No shame for the rear as hard as I hammer on it.

All in all, a pretty lousy day.

On edit, a piture my wife took the pass before the axles broke, only a 1.72 60's so the wheels werent up, but this might explain the axles breaking ;)

Thanks man! I never thought that it'd run this well NA with the mismatched combo that is under the hood right now. I'm having so much fun with it at the moment that I think the turbo kit will be put off a little longer until I ring out a few more ponies NA. Over the winter I plan to swap my AFR 165's for something larger, and I'm switching my 65mm 94-95 TB to a 75mm fox body style TB. I think this will make a pretty noticable difference from what I've seen from others that have done it. How did you end up running with the bike?

had hard time keeping wheel down. best was 10.75@135 2.0 60 on back tire. i was carrying front wheel thru 2nd. 8k launches with a off the street prepp'd bike and low on gas. didnt realize i was as low as i was. so might go next week with a full tank and some sort of straps to lower the front down.

i did manage a 9k launch with no lift but missed second so i just aborted that run and wheelied the rest of the track...busa next to me that pass ran 8.4@173 1.4 60'

U know no matter where I go I always end up running COBRA'S HAHAHA. Street or strip its the same scenario.

I raced the GT500 , my boy Anthony (03-04cobra) , and a older foxbody , mustangs everywhere I wouldnt mind racing something different hahahahahaha
