Hi folks,

I'm looking for a driver's side exhaust manifold for my '66 GT coupe.
I recently pulled the motor and discovered that the manifold had cracked off by the first bolt hole. I don't have the part # handy, but I'll check when I get home from work, as it is cast right into the manifold. I'd like to have the correct part #, not just something that will fit, as the car is really original and I want to keep it "basically" stock.

It doesn't have to be like new - just in good solid condition - as I plan to bead blast them and have the manifolds ceramic coated with a cast iron finish.

Thanks for looking.

A few years ago I threw a few of these away...dang it!!!!:censored:

My dad might have a set. If you get the number posted up here before the weekend I'll try to look when I go home this weekend.

Here's the part #. Again, this is for the driver's side exhaust manifold....

C6OE-9431-C

It is cast right into the middle of the manifold between the 2nd and 3rd ports.

There's also a casting # that is perpindicular to the one above - not sure what this is for, but here it is...

5025

I don't think it matters for the driver's side manifold, but this is a San Jose car that has the complete California emissions setup on it. The passenger side manifold has some extra stuff cast into it, with various lines running to and from. I guess I'm glad the passenger side didn't break - I bet it would be a lot tougher to replace...

I'll try to post a pic later if I can, but I have to run now.

Thanks guys.

Ron

I got a lesson on how to download photos off the camera tonight, so I thought I'd try to post a photo of the manifold....

Here goes...

I have a deal pending on a set of near mint manifolds, so if you haven't yet gone digging for yours, don't worry about it. I'll post some photos once I pick them up. Thanks!

I have one. C4ae. So its from a 64. I need to double check to see if it is drivers though. I think came from a 64 Fairlane. I had a few sets but now all I seem to have is one. Either I will check in a bit. If you want it, its yours for a look at that T-bird in real life. :slaphappy:

Thanks Coral - that's a pretty nice price!!!:biglaugh: But I already have a deal pending on a really clean pair of manifolds with a C6 part #. From the photo I received they look just about brand new. :woot1:I am picking them up tomorrow from a good guy I met 15 years ago, so I'm pretty sure the deal will go though. I'm hoping that the fact that they are so clean will help keep the price down when I take them for ceramic metallic coating at Prism in Hopewell. He should have to do next to no work to prep them for coating.

You are more than welcome to stop by sometime to check out the Bird and the GT. My green Mustang is at Dad's place while the Bird is in my garage, but you've seen that one already. I'm in Moon, about 1 minute from Hoss' restaurant. If you ever know you're going to be in the neighborhood give me a call on my cell at 412-292-2403. Weekends are pretty good except for home Steeler games, and evenings are usually good between 6:30pm and 8:30pm.

:woot1:Today I picked up a beautiful pair of exhaust manifolds from 01Cobra. Turns out I have known him for 15 years or so. He has owned a ton of sweet '65-66 Mustangs - mostly fastbacks. K-codes, stroker motors, T5 conversions - REALLY nice stuff. Currently, he's down to a 2001 Cobra with 2500 miles on it. It's performance red ( only 226 made in 2001 ). Anyway, Bob ( 01Cobra on this site) is a super nice guy. If any of you need something for a '65-'66, shot him a PM - he just might have what you need.

I paid $30 for the pair - I think that's one heck of a deal, considering the excellent condition they're in. Here are some photos - let me know what you think. My car is a San Jose (CA) car, and these exhaust manifolds have the same provisions for emissions as the ones that came off of my car. Bob thinks these came off of one of his CA cars. I might have gotten lucky - do all '65-6 exhaust manifolds have the 2 emissions passageways on the passenger side manifold? If not, I really lucked out.

Thanks to all of you who offered to look for the manifolds for me. I appreciate your help.

And thanks to you Bob!!! You da man!!!!!!!! :awsome::awsome::awsome:
