This puts a new twist in the mix. No weight penalty. Base weight with these heads and EFI is 3050 lbs.
Compared to a Twisted Wedge (+50 lbs.) deal with a carb (+75 lbs.) on it will put it @ 3175 lbs.

Joe,
what do the top dogs run in P/S? I'm surprised the TW has a 50# adder vs no weight penalty for the AFR 185's. I like the exhaust port on the AFR over the TW.

Mark,
The '06 P/S champion had a set of T.W.'s and a carb. The '07 P/S champ had Brodix on that mill. That configuration was EFI. The AFR 185 was just added and I'm sure some will be lobbying for weight *if* it starts MPH-ing.
The '06 champs complete engine is for sale over on NMRA forums. In a coversation with a mutual friend of ours, the 2006 winner said "We don't make the most power in P/S but we have the chassis dialed"
I've snooped around on the live timing of NMRA events and compared other P/S entries vs. the '06 top dog. That car works exceptionally well in the first half of the 1/4. Entries with more MPH were 9 times out of 10 beat enough at half track they couldn't come around him on the back half.
Just gotta love a well sorted chassis.

i agree it all about the first half , you have to have alot more power to over come a quiker short time car .
