If you're planning on running heads up.
"We’re just a few days away from the pre-registration now, so this is a good time to start planning your strategy to be one of the chosen few. Pre-registration for PINKS: All Out will begin at 12:00 Noon, on Monday, December 3, 2007. We will accept the first 400 registered entries, then the window of opportunity closes and everyone else becomes an instant spectator. We will be strictly enforcing a one entry per person rule during the pre-registration process. Participants may only register ONE car/driver entry! There will be no exceptions to this rule! To qualify for PINKS: All Out, your car has to have doors. No dragsters or other open bodied cars will be allowed! All entries MUST run 12.99 or quicker! If it takes 13 seconds or more for your car to get to the end of the quarter-mile, stay home! Entries may be made through our website, www.summitmotorsportspark.com (http://www.summitmotorsportspark.com/), by calling the Summit Motorsports Park offices at 419-668-5555, or in person at the SMP office building. We strongly recommend using the website as a means of pre-registering for the event! Website registration provides instant access and response, and with a Visa or Mastercard, will certainly be the fastest way to be sure you are one of the chosen 400 entries. All entries will be reviewed for duplication at the end of the pre-registration process. The fee due at the time of registration is $40.00. The event will be contested on June 6-7, 2008."

let me know when pinks decides to run brackets to determine the fastest car instead of running who they think is "cool".

I could never be on that show. Rich Christenson just bugs the shit out of me. They would be further ahead to use a .400 pro tree. I am just waiting for the day that someone mows him over. Seen guys take the christmas tree out before and he stands right in front of it.

Would you believe it's already sold out!!!!
"Racer registration and fan ticket sales opened Monday, December 3 at noon. The racer spots sold out in an amazing 12 minutes. President Bill Bader, Jr., said, "The response was just incredible. We had more web traffic and phone calls Monday than we had in the entire month of June when we hosted a national event. We have 26 phone lines, and we had extra staff on hand, and as soon as someone hung up another call came in."

Mark:
I tried solid from 12-12:45 to get a ticket. The website froze and the phone was always busy and I think I called about 15 times. My brother finally got through after they were sold out and they told him about the 12 minutes and 3600 web hits/minute.
Oh well, who wants to have a beer and watch?

J,
I can't f*king believe this sold out in 12 minutes. I was shocked to read that at 5:30 PM. I forgot all about it starting at noon.
I'd like to go & specatate regardless. I've talked to a couple of people at work that went to previous events and said it was a good time.
I like All-Out so much better than the sandbagging/arguing BS of Pinks. I guess I was never a street racer and can't appreciate this.

I know man, its BS. My brother and I were both trying right at noon and no luck. They better have some nice fast cars and I'm sure the location will draw a good group.
We definitely should still go. My buddies that went to All-Out Milan had a blast and there were over 30,000 people on the property for an all day party. I posted about it a while back on Hardcore, a guy I know won it in a 408 powered Fairmont.
Road trip/caravan anyone?

I like All-Out so much better than the sandbagging/arguing BS of Pinks.
But the downside to this is that you cant "break out" of what you run in the time trials. Since pinks is all about ratings, they're going to pick a group of cars that look cool, will grab TV ratings, and are all within a certain time.
I remember seeing an episode of this where they had a board up of all these names and their index. There were more than enough people at 10.99 and under to have an all out with them, but they went with slower cars.
I just find it weird they picked "All Out" as the name of the show and then dont use the cars that aren't at the top of the pack.
I dunno, perhaps my hatred of Christiansen for his epic fail combination of street racing with track racing is coloring my judgement.
