shimming lifters

i am looking for any info i can get on shimming stock hydrolic lifters. i am looking for more rpms thanks:goodidea:

This is something I am very familar with. My Ford FE motors typicaly need the rockers shimmed.

What set up do you have?

no i ment lifters ..phil and lary wanted me to ask around about shimming the lifters but i talked to a dan d and the rpms i am looking for i will b fine .. u can shim the lifters to make them lke a solid lifter ..but thanks anyway

NMRA Pure Street is a class where the rules state that participants must use a hydraulic lifter (Non-modified). Somehow they are able to rev those bullets to 8,000+ without lifter/valve float.;)

thats tricky stuff, i have heard tighter springs in the lifters or oil restrictors in the pushrods some how??? i think there is a certain lifter people use to make that happen, what kinda rpms you lookin for, and do you have the rest of the motor to support the rpms??

Now I got it. Lifters not rockers lol! I was looking at some tricks in one of my PDF files. That seems really hard.
