I know its kinda early to bring up Carlisle, but I was looking into their vehicle registration and I noticed theres a discount for multiple vehicles. So if anyone would be interested in group registration, we could have the Steel City Stangs Mustangs lined up and ready to amaze at the next Carlisle show!
So who would be interested in entering their car(s) in the fairgrounds at Carlisle? The weekend it's held this year is June 6-8th, 2008.

not much. i get about 23-25 mpg highway in the GTP. the mustang i bet id get 12-15 highway.
i dunno. i dont care to show it. the engine wiring is a mess. It's functional as 2 things.
1. to race
2. to be broke
right now the broken thing is working really well for me.
2 years ago we stayed at a place and the lobby bar had on special $12 bottles of cheap champaigne. holy shit we got ripped then went go karting.
I'd def be up for a plethora of beers with you guys if i make it out this year.

I still need to sort out next years schedule, but I would like to get back to Carlisle this year. I usually go every year, kinda blew it off last year. As was mentioned, if you register early, and register as a club, there are discounts. Also if you get enough guys to register as a club, you will get a club tent from Carlisle.

Generally speaking, if you pre register at a discount, take a buddy with you, you will be further ahead than to pay to park in someones yard, and pay the entrance fee, even for one day, and its hard to beat the parking place in the middle of it all :D

I WILL be going to this this year. We generally take three vehicles with us, two Cobra's and a white supercrew to haul the gear... I registered all three under SCS last year, and will do so this year. That is, if Work doesn't interfere with the show this year.

I will be there again this year. I registered and got my card yesterday and also have my hotel booked.
If your going you should really get a hotel NOW! Rooms will be booked by January, if not already.
Whoever was in the caravan on the way to Carlisle last year, I would be up for that again :laughing1:
Should be leaving the PGH area on Friday morning around 8AM-9AM

well we were all supp to meet at the sheetz in New Stanton but the only people that showed up were riosnake and slow01gt.
We are not planning to meet with anybody. Something always happens. Somebody is late, (me) broke down... or whatever. Its too hard. We have our 6 or possibly 5 cars.If folks wanna meet up along the way, thats fine. Just dont count on anything. HAHAHAH

Becky and I were there this past year. I was registered with CrownVic.net. We might be there in '08...dunno yet.
If you have a group/club with 25 or more registered, you get a tent and your own section in the showfield. If you want to compete for a placing, you have to park in your car's field however. For example, if I would have parked with the CrownVic.net club, my car wouldn't be judged. I parked in the 69+ full size field so I could try to win a plaque (I didn't this time...too many damn Marauders!).
I stayed at the Hampton Inn last time. Not too much action at night though...pretty boring. Colin and I did kick some tires with a couple of old-timers and their '69 and '70 Mach 1's.

Anyone ever go to the Ford drags Friday night at South Mountain? It's a cool little throwback track to the 60's.

I still have no reservations for a hotel, but I'm planning to go Saturday and Sunday if I can. I haven't registered yet either, cuz I don't know what I'm putting for club, either StangNet (95-95 section ftw) or Steel City Stangs.
