I had 335's on the back and to be honest, I absolutely hated them. They stuck like an inch or two outside the rear fenderwell. So i backed it down to 295's and it looks a lot better. The fronts however are too big, which was a mistake made from the place i got them. So I have to replace the front tires here before spring. If you saw this car last saturday stuck in traffic on the parkway that was me. It took me an hour and a half just to get from wilkensburg exit to bolivard of the allies. :bite:

Thanks. WHOA is right (people kept giving me looks like wtf is this guy driving this car with it snowing). I havn't had much luck on the parkway this year haha. I wish this construction would just be over with. Car is finally gonna be where I want it tho. So I'm excited. Just need some pony (maybe something nicer haha) wheels and 26" tires for the track now.

Thanks for the offer Scott. But I do still have the IRS. Havn't had much of an issue with it, as I don't think I really will. There are a lot of faster cobras running around that are still IRS equiped.

Yea I love the sound of Mac. What are you doing with the Mac catback?
Mac 3" with O/R X is probably my favorite combo on Cobras. Let me know if you want to sell it.
oh yea i'm gettin a KB soon so we gotta race again in spring when my car comes back out:thmbsup:

I am trying to decide if I should get a 2.2KB, 2.3 Whipple, or a 2.6KB if i can find one used.

any of them work for what we use the cars for so put the names in a hat and pick one. hah jk. Just find a good deal on a used one from a respected board member. There's probably plenty out there for sale. Just fyi I'm pretty sure my mac exhaust is gonna have to be thrown out. Its beat up too badly from scraping since I lowered the car, plus the flanges are in really poor condition.

Ed,

I took some pics so you can see a little more clearly what the problem was. All of your factory pullies and idlers are covered and aligned correctly. In the first picture you can see how the Kenne Bell pulley is recessed back too far in relation to the others, the straight edge is obviously coming off the face of the crank pulley. In the second picture I took your pulley off, pulled the spacer out and measured it...480". Kenne Bell calls for a .622" for your application, the wrong one was installed when this unit was rebuilt. We were going to make you a new spacer but since your not in a hurry, Kenne Bell offered to send one out immediately since it was there mistake.

Little Update.I picked up the car today and the clutch and exhaust are great. Thanks alot Mike. Unfortunately I didn't get to boost it bc of the rain to check to see if it would shred part of the belt again. But from what we saw the belt is aligned perfectly now, so I don't for see any issues. Great job again Mike. I appreciate all that you've done to make sure its done right. Now I just gotta clean her up and get those balloon tires off the front! haha

we were actually just talking about him yesterday at work (the supra) yea we will probably run but it will prob be up the track.. Then he wants to race on two wheels.. yea his car runs good, but i think the KB will put alil on him.

Him and I raced when I had a upper lower pullies vs his upper only and it was pretty close to being a even race. With the kb the car feels like a totally different animal. Last thing I gotta do is verify a/f and adjust the tune if needed. Then its all done... for now... haha. Monday is gonna be 60 with little or no chance of rain, I'll probably be out on my 600 for a little.
