Is it possible to fit a LS7 engine into a 1999-2004 mustang body?

I don't see why not. Should be the same as putting a LS1 in it.

easily cause the LS7 if someoen could afford the swap would dominate for a NA motor
but 12k for the intial hit is hard on wallet

boy did my reply sound retarded. besides an a 12K engine what else would be needed? would everything in the drivetrain need to be replaced? I don't know anything about chevy stuff, just my mach.

well i'm going to the big sandbox in jan. and when i get back i wanted to s/c and would get new pistons, but i'm thinking about an LS7 crate swap. it would get me the same result pretty much. and if i s/c an ls7 down the road it would kill. don't know just a thought for now.

Why don't you do a 5.4 4 valve swap and then turbo it, not as much fab work involved and you would have one bad ass stang that you could still call a mustang:thmbsup:

yeah, but at least its a ford engine.
personally id say drop the money and build the engine you have, its more fun. the ls7 is sick though
