I know that the pistons were different in the Mark 7's.

Depends on what year. My 88 had the same engine as a GT, even the factory TRW forged pistons, same headers ,cam, and intake.

Better make sure its a H.O. engine...some where and some werent. its ts not then its only 175hp with different firing order, cam, pistons and more.

All mark 7 motors after 86 or 87 were H O motors , stay away from 84 and 85, they are the non H O motors

90-92 have forged crank and pistons, all lsc's are H.O. all of they 87-91's Ive owned had different pullies- larger crank and small alt for all the elec. junk on the cars.

It would be the same, except probably not as abused as one in a mustang.

the blocks have a year marked on them bear the motor mount pad, also you can look under the head near the pushrod tubes, you need a mirror to see it with the heads bolted on..

Were the cranks forged? I didn't think any factory 5.0 motors had forged cranks.
