I picked up a set of aluminum heads that are quite different and wondered if anyone ever seen a set like this or knows for sure what they are.
They are aluminum sbf heads with the "GT" cast in them, the 3 bars cast on the side, "Ford" casting in the valve cover area, and on the bottom they have "XE" 258 161 B. Someone told me they were Ford proto-type heads and the "XE" designated "experimental engine" ??
Just wondered if anyone has ever seen or heard of such?

I have the x-303, x-305 ford racing heads and they all had the m6049-x303 m6049-x305 ect, part numbers cast in the top of the heads next to the valxe springs and neither of them have the 3 bars on the sides.
The The x heads i just bought do not have that cast in there nor do they have any part number on the top. The only identification is the XE on the underside and is is cast opposite the direction the cast iron have the f3ze
