I'm already going nuts wanting to go race. Mason Dixon has their first Test n Tune March 1st.:goodidea:

Is there anyone else interested? I'm making the journey?

I know it's closer for me, but I figure probably a few of you go there from time to time.

Mason Dixon :biglaugh: You guys rip on PRP. I have been to that track a few times and probably won't ever go back. They have got to have the worst traction I have ever seen. And if anyone knows what a starting line should look like it's definitely not their's. Who needs traction though when you can whoop the $hit out of your car 8 times.

That track is at least 150 miles from you, no way you're making it there that fast

Well I Dont Really Appreciate The Double Gussing..Everyone Has There Own Way To Get Places Ive Been There Only 2 Times And From My Point Of View It A Shit Hole Just Like Most Of The Places Around These Parts...But Dad Travels There At Least twice A Month And He Gets There In About 1Hour And Some Change a little longer depending on traffic..And From What Balaska347 Said About The Track I Dont Think I Would Go Even If It Was Close Enough To Piss On From My Front Door:yes:

But If Anyones From My Area And Is Gone I Can Get Good/Quick Direction From My Dad To Save Ya Time Just Let Me KNow:goodidea:

As far as the track, it isn't too bad. Every place is gonna have a bad prep day, but in general it's a tenth or two faster than PRP.

Prp does have better track prep.

My best 60' at Prp is a 1.66 with 17" MT DR's and my best 60' a MD is 1.67 with a 15x10.5x26" MT street.

My best time is at MD because of the lower elevation and the cold cold temps that day. A 11.26 compared to a 11.37

I was at MD once. I agree that the traction wasn't as good as some other places, but the difference in traction between my experience at MD and my experiences at PRP is not as great as you make it out to be.

If you want to be at a track where cleanups can take an hour, staff are rude unless you have a slick car (then they are too busy fawning all over it to be rude [this is not a slam on people who own slick cars its about PRP staff attitude toward street cars]) and get two or three runs in for your entrance fee then by all means go to PRP.

Id rather have 8 opportunities to work on my driver mod (MD) or slower track times with friendlier staff (QC), but the sad fact is for shakedown runs I dont want my car going too far from home, so I probably wont have a choice but PRP once this season. If anything its to minimize the tow bill should something break.
