Ok,
Long story short..had a misfire on cylinder 3. Had the mechanic change out the plugs and wires which fixed the problem with the misfire but after pulling the plugs, he noticed that #5cylinder had anti-freeze on the plug and the first 3 plugs on the passenger side had oil all over them!!!!! He said i may need a new gasket on the intake plenum or a new plenum. what does everyone know about this? WHat kind do i go get? factory replacement..aftermarket....just a new gasket...any feedback here would b great. Also, where abouts does everyone suggest on where to get a new plenum?

Thanks for your time

i dont think an intake gasket is gonna fix that . sounds more like a head gasket to me...

Ok...thanks guys..
I was talking to a mechanic at work who also has a f-150 with the 4.6 in it. He was saying also that if when i changed the oil in my truck n i didnt use a funnel i could have spilled oil on the plugs and there isnt enough heat on the outside of the plug for it to burn off and also the anti-freeze on driver side(first plug) could be from having the alternator replaced. I guess on the f-150's you have to remove the anti-freeze hose to replace the alternator. Some anti-freeze could have dripped down on the plug then. idk for sure..just sum guesses...im not losin anti-freeze anywhere or ne thing. I know since the plug change the truck runs great and there is no power loss at ne time! Just kind of baffled at the moment on what to do next.
