I am selling a 289 engine that was in a 1965 Mustang.
I bought this 65 Mustang a few years back. It had a 302 installed but the prevous owner included the original 289 with the sale of the car.
This is what I know about the engine.
- 'c' code
- The car had about 75,000 miles on it when the previous owner installed the 302.
The engine is still sitting on a pallet and is wrapped in plastic.
It needs valve covers and a carb.
I don't know the condition of the engine.
It might be possible to use the 289 as a core exchange for something bigger and better.
I sold the '65 to feed my Cobra addiction, and would like to get the 289 out of my garage to make more room.
