How does $35K sound for an '07 Shelby GT. Still new, but last year's model. Thinking of pulling the trigger, but not quite sure. Better to just upgrade my '05 GT with CAI/chip/borlas? The rear end is geared higher on the Shelby, and that starts to run into more $...thoughts?

mod your gt, we have one at work and it looks good and runs good, but not worth the cash..
what color is it? white with silver stripes or black with silver?

I think the only reason to pull the trigger on that would be if you are thinking about keepong it for a long time. It will hold it's value in the long run, but not like GT500. Depends on what your looking for in a ride.....performance or collectibility.

the Gt is more of the collector car than the GT500, thats basically why the GT was made for the collector. The GT has his name signatured all over it, If they were both to sit side by side for the same amount of time in 20 years the GT would be worth more than gt500.

If I bought it, it would be to keep. Drove the GT-H a year and half ago and loved it, and drove this one tonight (black/ silver stripe). It just jumps. I love my torch red GT tho, with those 4 lights accross the front of the grille. The Shelby didn't have the IUP, and it didn't have the leather steering wheel either. Just looked at ebay, and most in this same range have these upgrades. I think the price of the subject car is too high by a couploe of grand....thoughts?

I disagree...but to each his own.

They're nice....but $35k is overpriced IMO. You can do the suspension (springs, front swaybar), intake, tuner, exhaust, and gears for about $1k plus installation. I purchased all of the aforementioned parts (new) for my 06 GT and it worked out to about $1,030.00 ...install is gonna cost me around $400 for gears & springs.
You just need to do some research and find some deals!

You could always find a wrecked one and fix it.

All prices included shipping and all except the throttle body spacer were purchased new off Ebay...
S&B intake $189.50
Superchips Flashpaq tuner $187.50
4.10 Motive gears and install kit from Brenspeed $166.78
Eibach prokit springs from Brenspeed $169
Pypes SS Violater axle back exhaust $179
Motivator throttle body spacer $40
Progressive Tech, front sway bar $126
$1057.78 total......took alot of patience and searching for the right deals!
I'm going to have Mike @ Wolfpack install the gears, springs, and sway bar in the next couple of weeks....email any of the vendors for install estimates. :goodidea: Even if it costs $700 for install of everything...it's still ALOT less than a Shelby GT :highfive:
Only other item I may get will be an O/R X or Prochamber

There was a brand new Shelby GT in the last Auto Trader for 32,000. I would take that listing in and show the dealer if you want to make a deal.

That's a good price. The one I looked at Friday sold the next day, but the dealer found another for me yesterday, and I did the deal! This one will be a keeper!

indeed I did. It has the instrument upgrade package, and all of the Shelby treatments. I first drove one of these down in Tampa as an "H" rental about a year and a half ago....fell in love....

that is deff nice, and remember, Carrol Shelby could write his name on an old sneaker and make it worth a ton of money... Those Shelby cars are never gonna depritiate in value much at all..
