Not wanting bear the cost of a cowl hood and paint at the moment. I have plenty of Greenlee holepunches- and willing to use them, but I can't seem to find some simple cheap unobrusive vents to cover up my soon to happen misdeeds. Underhood temps just seem too high to me, I will verify this with a Fluke meter and thermocouple on top surface of Trick Flow intake. Has Black Magic Extreme fan keeping water temp okay. Really heat soaks after hot shut off. I cruised a small junk yard the other day but didn't spot anything. Not looking to go the Home Depot route but don't need any billet pieces either. Ideas anyone?

I'd hold off for a hood. Maybe call up LMM see if they have any old stock hoods. That way shipping wouldnt kill ya on ordering one.

Just cut a hole in the middle and bolt a scoop on the stock hood.

Viper Ed- Any scoop recommendations, mounted reverse for
better scavenging engine compartment? I have this Shelby GT350 style scoop, but it's way too long. Thought about cutting it shorter and mounting it backwards- how does one cut fiberglass anyway. Found this photo of a hood scoop that I liked on a car for sale on Craigslist last year but don't know what it is. Looks good (to me) but forward may not do the job.

And the rear facing GT stuff is about the same, but kinda backwards :D

Thanks fellas. If anyone has any of these Capri or GT or Turbo hood scoops that I could lay on my hood to see where things line up I'd appreciate a heads up. I don't typically drive the car too far from North Hills though. I'm looking on Ebay and Google to see what info I can find.

I have the hood pictured in my Basement in Greensburg if you want to make a template or something. Just give me a heads up if you are in the area.
