anyone ever done one? 1991 fox.

worse part is done. i have the car completely stripped inside-dash out etc.
service manual says disconnect the ac lines.

i read online it can be removed w/o disconnecting the ac lines. tried that. it is too damn of a tight fit, and i don't want to ruin the new core tried to cram it in the box with such a tight fit.

anyone able to help me disconnect these lines? don't have the tool.

Russ, I have changed them numerous times without disconnecting the A/C lines. Save yourself the trouble of having to recharge the system.

INSANELY CRAZY

ive also done a bunch of these. you dont need to disconnect any lines but the heater hoses. i have the tool needed to disconnect if you wanna go that route.

there are (i believe 3- 8mm bolts, been bout a yr since ive done one) ontop, one is hard to get to it's in the back right hand corner top. just take those bolts out and the cover will slide out (yea it's alittle easier said then done) but once you get that top cover off you can pull the heater core out and slide the new one in.

i was able to get the 4 lid screws off.
don't have enough room to slide it off to remove the old heater core
