How do the Nissan 350Z's run compared to a "New Edge"??? My one buddy recently just picked one up and has been hounding me everyday to run him. Both cars are bone stock -his being an auto and mine being a 5 spd. I know absolutely nothing about the 350's other than they are V6's and make ok power???

The Z's are low 14 second cars...should be a good/even race. :awsome:

unless its a 07 and up z . they make more power than the older ones and are decently quick.my friiend has a 08 6spd which runs pretty good.run him from a dig. i beleive the 07 and up manuals have like 310hp compared to the 287 of the first couple of years.

Not really the best comparison but a good idea showing that they're close.

Don't quote me on this, but i think i've read that the '07+ 350z's run in the mid-high 13's ... just saw that Edmonds tested it at 13.6@103 ... yea, that's a magazine, so take that with a grain of salt.... 306hp and 3350 lbs ... i haven't seen many stock '99-'04 GT's escape the low 14's
I think his car has the edge and I think you better hope he's not a very good driver.... definitely no room for error for either of you... either way, give it a shot! if its in fun, who really cares?? It'll give you reason to mod if you loose

I agree with this especially from toying around with my friend. I'm a better driver than he's so i usually get the jump on him if its from a dig and it stays that way.(drag radials vs street tires) From a roll though hes def faster especially considering my cars basically all stock and the stuff i do've done doesnt account for much hp.

Wow, i didn't know they cost that much...
for that, i'd spend the few extra $ and get its sister car, the G37 coupe

Damn right Bish :goodidea: or the old man version (G35 sedan)
G35 sedan (4 doors and less $$) is just as fast as the 2 door G37 sedan that has an extra 24hp. I don't understand that :dunno:....But I've been toying with the idea of buying a new G35 "sport" sedan for the past couple of months.

I've been in a 99 Cobra running with a 350Z around 2003... a 4.6 4V will walk away from them, unless the guy wasn't trying hard, his car sure sounded like it.
Just my $.02

With it being an auto and yours a manual I feel you have an edge if you can drive your car.
