Ok, well just resently this has started, it does this no matter what, if the car is warm, or cold. It will run great, if i push the gas like half throttle it takes off fine and has plenty of power, but it seems when i put it all the way to the floor or wot that it hesitates and doesnt wanna go, climbs rpms really slow, and goes nowhere, but like i said at half throttle its got plenty of power..
checked codes and the only ones its throwing are 94 & 44 which i was told is most likely because i have no smog pump and it shouldnt hurt anything, i was getting a code 34, but i reset the computer and now im not getting that anymore...
it seems like its losing spark at wot or not getting enough fuel or something of that nature... so i was kinda leaning toward plug wires, because my plugs look fine... but who knows..
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

also i just read that, if the fuel pump is going bad, that it will go to a certain rpm and not be able to go any higher because it cant pump anymore fuel, well mine doesnt do that it keeps climbing the rpms, just really slow and hesitates.. so im thinking its spark..
also i noticed a little bit ago that 2-3 of my plug wires have white spots on them from what seems to be them resting on the headers ><... could this have made them bad and does it sound like a spark problem now??

i would take a guess: Fuel

Put a fuel pressure test gauge on it and see what the pressure is doing. Might also be clogged converters. Just a few things to check.

>< 2 new convertors were put on like 1-2 months ago...

how old is ur fuel filter cause if it is clogging up it will make the pump have to work harder under WOT

2 weeks old...
maybe i put it in backwards? (pretty sure i didnt)
but would that cause this?

It may be a combination of both, if you are saying that a couple of your plug wires are burnt.. If you have a few spare laying around i would say replace the ones that are burnt so that will narrow down your search even more... My old 95 did that, once i put new plug wires on it ran fine afterwards....
Then if does not clear anything up then concentrate on the fuel.. Def see what kind of pressure your running.

does it fall on it's face more at low rpm's? If so my vote is spark problem.

if im driving around a low rpms or even half throttle it runs fine, but if i let of the gas.. it REALLY falls on its face, like it should just slow down, but in like 1-2 it just falls...

well i just took my like 1 month old coil off, and put my old one back on.. and now it pulls very hard through every gear, and seems to be fine now... wtf??

what kinda coil was that ?? maybe could've just been a connection you fixed while changing them up? i'd still do something about those burnt plug wires tho... ;)

it could have possibly been a loose ground on the coil if u dont have a good ground that would effect performance also diff. change the burnt wires i had one on my 92 hatchback that was burnt and it was grounding itself out on the header made it run like shit just a thought carry on

Yeah later when i get home from school, ill post the pics of the burnt plug wire i took, its a white mark, and its cracked in the middle.. looks like it would possibly be grounding itself out on the header as you suggested.
Thanks,
