Ok, getting tuned on Friday finally. Lets see what the guestimates are you guys have. Mods are as follows...

Stock bottom end.
1 3/4 long tubes
Roller valve train
Trickflow stage 1 cam
Stock heads
SysteMax II intake Ported
70MM BBK throttle body no EGR
44LB injectors
95mm PMAS mass air
Vortech V1 S-trim with 12psi
Electric fan
Crane HI-6 ignition

Cam is installed straight up and the bottom end is bone stock. I put bearings in last year to freashin it up. Lets see some guesses...

Take it easy on my intake!:rotflol:

I'm going to have to say on a dynojet, 417 rwhp & 422rwtq
Are you going to SGS?

Rio94gt
06-03-2008, 05:47 PM
435 RWHP and 440 RWTQ

Basing this on mine made 413 through an auto minus the cam with more boost.

I'll guess 475rwhp. Good luck Rob.

Thanks all. Yes, it is at SGS. Perhaps I will get the winner a few cold ones.

These are some interesting numbers I am seeing though. I honestly dont think I will get past 450. If I do, I will be real happy. I still have not reached full boost seeing as I was playing with fire using an fmu and BTM. I know there is more than 12psi available. Vid will be taken for sure.

HEY! I said "STD". They're about 5% higher than SAE. So, 450 x .95 = 427.5.

I don't want to drive to Carlisle for dinner, though.

What does gearing have to do with hp?

Deeper gears will lower the numbers slightly on a chassis dyno.

Thats a drastic gear change, what I meant was gears dont make a hp increase...

Allrightie. There were a few issues. My rev limiter was set to 6000. It cut out at 5100ish. Had some belt slip. Now, the good news, I drove it home. HAHAH he other news is also good. I am more than happy. With a stock motor basically and not spinning it as high as I would have liked, it made

397.66 Horse
397.72 Torque.

Both at the limiter and still climbing. There was a dip at 49 where some belt slip interfered but it took back off. The curves were excellent and kept climbing. Dave said there is more in it if we would have went past the limiter but it was not really said until after the straps were comming off. I can honestly say, I am happier than a mother effer though. I have driveability and a good tune. No more stalling and the BS issues associated with not having a tune. He could have pulled more but I was not going for a dyno shoot out, I wanted safety and driveability which was achieved.

Thanks guys. I am going to have a different set of heads hopefully of the aluminium variety come next spring that will more than likely be stud mounted to an engine with 5.4 liters of displacement and 9.0:1 compression.

Rob, I dont know how to do the graph scan to post it. The peak was still comming up. Dave figured it was safe and good enough where it was seeing as the situation I am in...Being married, having a son and such. I did not want to break it.

Adam, Dave is a character man!!!!! Had a good time with his and George. Heck, Dave handed me a bottle of KY warming to take with me into the office with George. HAHAHAHAHAH He took it real easy on me. HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAH

The limiter was what was cutting it out. They are so inaccurate. My buddies does the same thing. Its about 800-900RPM off.
