Summit Racing pulley question

Ok so I have the crank pulley from summit http://store.summitracing.com/partde...292+4294863091 However I do not have the bolt that comes with and it doesnt say what size it is, and the stock bolt will not fit. Does anyone know the size so I can go to lowes and pick one up?

just order the arp crank bolt for our cars you can get it from summit or jegs. you cant get one from lowes b/c its a tapered thread bolt.

Please do not install these on your car! These pulley's can cause some serious problems.

I got it for free, a buddy of mine had it back when he had his 04 GT and no longer had a use for it until I got my car..Whats the problem with it? BTW I just have the crank pulley.

The problems they cause are. The aluminum hub gets slop in it on the crankshaft causing noise vibration and in some cases (like an engine we just tore apart) where it actually gets sloppy enough to not hold the crank timing gear tight. Which lets the crank gear work loose. It can and will where out the key way and eventually break the woodruff key. Which lets your cam timing flop around. These pulley's are one of the worst things you can install on a mod engine imo.

Ok Ill def keep that in mind for now..Another question about summit parts..How do their throttle bodies hold up? I was thinkin of pickin up a 75mm one this week.

Eh, thanks for the offer but I think I might just go with the one I have..Im not disagreeing with SK@StreetLethalI take your word on that, but my buddy who had it on his for over 2 years never had a problem so Ill take my chances.

ok man just make sure you get an ARP crank bolt. the stocker is not reusable since its TTY. once you get the ARP, you can reuse it as much as you need
