    Guess how heavy my car is

    Got my car weighed yesterday. Local scale that weighs 18 wheelers before they hit the road. Seems accurate. I got on it..said 200, my buddy got on it..said 280 and he weighs 275 but scale goes in multibles of 20. Full weight GT, spare tire, jack, bottle of tire dressing in the truck, etc 3380 pounds. Thats just the car, no driver.

    That does seem light being that the '03 newer cobras were close to 4000#s.

    The S197's are pigs to start with, the 03-04's had IRS (150 extra#) the blower and the 4v heads and the 6 speed.

    I think the mark viiis arms and everything are aluminum. Not sure if they're swapable.

    the cobra arms are aluminum, i believe the cradle is steel. i believe the t-birds and stuff are the same but they use an iron pumpkin...

    My '04 Cobra as weighed at two different tracks is 3561-3575 w/o spare tire, jack etc.

    3135lbs w/driver, least thats what the IHRA tech told me at the Pro-Am event last year

    My old GT weighed 3380 w/o driver and 1/2 tank of gas (stock)

    My old 04 cobra coupe weighed 3680 w/o driver and 1/2 tank of gas (stock)

    Realize fuel is about 6lbs/gal...so your car's weight will vary accordingly.

    That is mighty light! I could only wish........

    I don't even want to know what mine weights.... considering all i've done is ADD weight... :(
