Finally - '90 SC pix with SVT rims and SC centers!!!

    Hi folks,

I bought tires for the SC a few weeks ago and had them mounted on the SVT rims I got from biminilx ( thanks J!!! :D ). Then last week my new "SC" center cap stickers came in the mail. I washed the SC last night and had 10 minutes of free time tonight, so I shined up the tires and put on the new center stickers. I really like the way they look, but let me know what you think!

The first shot is the stock rims/tires ( 16 x 8 with 225/60/16s ), and the rest are the new setup. The SVT rims are 17 x 8, and the tires are Kumho Solus KH16 in a 235/55/17 size.

Oh - and the last photo is the reason I had 10 minutes of free time...

If you like them that'swhat matters. For some reason ,the car looks like it looses something for me with those on there. Don't know why, they just seem "lost". Maybe it's becasue I like the stockers on those.

i always kinda had a soft spot for those cars, just to heavy for me though... and they ride like a dream..

You're right Tim - it really rides nice. But with the suspension on the FIRM setting it isn't too soft. You won't win any slaloms in it, but it's a nice compromise. Yep - they're heavy too - but I guess that's part of the reason they ride so nice.

Wow Ron, they look great. Way better than the stock ones and it looks like you were able to clean them up really well. Nice SC stickers too, excellent touch.

Thanks J - I got 12 center stickers and a few other SC-related stickers from a place called tjpaint for $18 shipped. The quality seems pretty good - and they can print them in precise diameters for different centers. Even if the stickers don't last - ( I was told they should last 5+ years each ), I have 2 extra sets. They also can be made with different colors ( letters and backgrounds ). I thought they were a neat touch for only a few $$.

And thanks to the rest of you for the kudos.

Jason - are you out there? What do you think???

Ed - who is the "slut" who owns that Mk VIII? I always liked those cars. I think they'd be a lot of fun with a T56 and a Kenne Bell...
