    New Downpipe

I've had the bits for this sitting around for a while. Going to try and get it on later this week. This is part of an old school ATR downpipe that I scraped up, a 3" flex coupler, and some pipe.

It should flow a little better than the stock style outlet ;)

We wil lsee how much a restriction the stock outlet really is next weekend ;)

ATR was really top notch chit. I don't understand why they went out of business?

I know the Buick guys loved them, but the 2.3 stuff didnt fit well in most cases (that's why this downpipe was cut off, it ran into the crossmember). The 2.3 header was a sweet piece, but cracked ALL the time. Prices where rather high as well. Also, their customer service was absolutley terrible. Ultimately, the last I heard, the bank went in there, siezed everything and locked the place down. It was all auctioned off for debt.

I had their single 3" exhaust on my TC and loved the "pitbull" mufflers. Best sounding muffler for a 2.3 period. That exhaust is now on Frank's 83.

There is someone on eBay selling Buick a 3" downpipe that they claim is the ATR design. Looks like a nice pice, I wish they would make the 2.3 stuff again ;)
