how to put HO 5.0 in f150

i have a 93 f150 302 efi and i am thinking of sticking a spare HO mustang 302 i have sitting around in it.

what needs to be changed/done to make this work?
i want the mustang to still be efi
i know the HO vs reg 5.0's have different firing orders
    any help appreciated.

I think you will have to repin the ECU so the injector firing orders will be the same as the firing order on the engine. Not sure of the sensors like, ECT, and the like.

the 351 does have the same firing order as the HO 302 but Im not sure that the rst of the ECU is pinned the same. Repinning the ECU is easy, you only have to switch four wires, get a pinout diagram for the ecu and look at what numbers the injectors are and swap the cylinders that are different in the firing order. I have the diagram somewhere I'll post the link up once I find it.

Do you want to keep the HO firing order when you put that engine in the truck?

if i don't want to get into swapping cams etc, guess i would need to keep ho firing order?
i want the swap to be as easy as possible.

the trucks are batch fire, the means they fire the left bank and the right bank injectors all at the same time, 4 fire then the other 4 fire...

Thats right so you should be good to just drop it in and hook it up.

You will have to change the oil pan and pick up due to the stang having the double sump oil pan.
