    Tranny problem

Ok this has happened to me 4 times now..If im balls out in first gear and throw second hard it wont take the gear in..The clutch is to the floor but it just wont go into gear unless I put the clutch in again then put it in gear again. Im definately not missing 2nd so Im not sure whats wrong. If Im just cruising around it goes in fairly fine..Sometimes it feels like theres a bump it goes over to get into gear but other than that its fine.. A buddy of mine suggested it might be the syncro..Anyone have this problem before?

My Mach 1 did that alot from 2nd into 3rd when I started hammering on it.....someone once told me that its because the rpm's are too high at that point in time to shift. Don't know if that is/was true?

    probably the synchro..
happend to my T45 going nto 2nd unless i double clutched it, so i threw in a tremec 3650....
AllData stated that it was a common problem in the Tremec3650 though which was used in mustangs after late 01...

Back on topic here..Took it to get looked at thinking my warranty was going to cover it...Turns out my dumbass went 43 freaking miles over! Im pretty jacked about it, but its whatever no REAL big deal, just cant rip off second. Now heres my question..The guy at the shop said if its the syncro its gonna cost around 1,000 bux to replace including labor yadda yadda yadda...Is it possible to pick up a complete tranny for around that price? Keep in mind my tranny has around 96k on it, so anything less is a plus for me. Thanks!

Call them and talk to them. They might still do it. If not, call around. I'd do that before I did anything out of pocket
