OK, tomorrow night looks like its going to be so freaking nice out. I really want to run my car... but I don't want to burn off the tires on the 18's, and my Mickey's are not going to get in till thursday...

    What should I do:
-run my car on the 18's (how much tread would a lil burnout take off?)
    -just watch..?

if a lot of you guys are going to go, I'll probably bring the car out...

Eh.... I don't know if that would be the safest thing. I do baby burnouts anyway, and 528rwtq + cold shittos = white knuckles and then some.

Does anybody have a helmet I could borrow tomorrow night? I snuck by last time without one, but would prefer not to press my luck. I have a big melon if it makes a difference

I'll probably be wearing my red wolfpack speed shirt that I just picked up today if I go

They won't bother you when @ test n tune about the helmet, I raced a few times this year without one and never heard anything.

Depends on how deep you get under 13.99. My 2 cents, why take the risk of not wearing a helmet? You never know what might happen, regardless of how well you go over your car. I'll get up there around 7:30-7:45, I'll be on the tower side past the bathrooms, thrashing on my '69 Cutlass. Stop by, I'll lend you my helmet. I've got a big brain too, so it should fit.

PS - This looks like a good deal here:
    http://www.steelcitystangs.com/forum...ead.php?t=9230
Provided it's rate '00 or newer. Helmets are good for 12 years from their rating date, I believe, unless the rule book says otherwise. Sometimes it's sooner if you're in the quicker ETs, or longer if you're in the slower ETs (like me :D).

You need a set of MT's then if you're unpleased with the nittos... I'd expect that the nitto's can put down that kinda power, but maybe not... MT ET Streets will easily hold that much hp/tq

I'd love to come - which you could use my gigantic helmet (i wear a 7 & 5/8 or 3/4 hat) - but i'm stuck in the city tonight...

    Have fun and be safe!

does the time board read "HURRY UP!" as you're making your way down the track?

I'm riding my bike up to watch, so if my helmet fits you you're more than welcome to borrow it to make a few runs.
