id say if you like changing headers every couple years an you like the rusted look go with mac headers, but my mind set is if your going to do something ....do it right the 1st time an spend the extra cash an buy a nice set of lts if your going to do lts an go with slp. yes they are expensive but they will last forever an have a great sound to them. bbk fitment i heard is not that great, mac rusts period, an i heard if your gunna do bassani midlengths which are pretty expensive you might as well do lts. i personally have hooker lts, but they have a 3in collector. i love them they are about the same price as slps. hope this helps your desicion

I ran an offroad bassani X pipe for 8yrs with absolutely no issues, it still looks like it did at year one. Its SS which is a huge plus for longevity. I just pulled it off to put in a Dr. Gas 3" into 2.5" X pipe. The Dr. Gas is nice, but its no where near the quality of the bassani. If you have a bassani x pipe... keep it! X's have shown to make a few more ponies than H's due to their added scavenging effect.

i was thinking about the midlengths at one time, they are almost if not more expensive than longtubes, and you do not see as well gains as your would with full lts. but i heard you pick up inbetween, like you pick up more than shorties but not as much as lts. go with full lts you wont be sorry

I'm just having trouble finding a set for a 1994 that are good quality, if I'm gonna buy some Id rather buy a good set the first time and not have to replace them constantly, but I also dont really want to spend a grand on a set of headers

a "good" set of headers usually runs 700 an up, hookers were 940 or something from summit, slps are 800 or 900, american headers are 700 i believe. mac is 260 an is junk, bbks i believe are around 300-400 so bbk could be the answer for you if your not looking to go overboard but want a decent header, i havent heard anything about bbk rustin etc. plus you have to calculate your new midpipe as well, if you go with o/r your lookin at 150-180ish an if you go cats well add 100 or so. good luck with your decision

No one makes a mid-length for our cars except for accufab, but I think they are for 351w based engines. Bassani makes great products, but I don't think they make a 94-95 specific header. Their stepped headers are increadible, but again I think they are for fox only.

thanks, I'm gonna see how much I can save up over this winter so come spring I can buy my lowering kit, install my skirts and rear bumper, and buy my exhaust compnents. I may have to wait on my 4.10's for now we'll see

It depends. The O/R bassani X that came on my car was too loud for my taste at partial throttle, so I bought a catted bassani X. Sounds much better now IMO for just cruising around and not sounding like you're looking for the starting grid at nascar or something.

The only difference in sound, as far as I can describe, is that there is less of a hollow/tinny sound with the cats in place. The exhaust note is also much more muted. Sounds like a very loud factory car versus a straight piped SOB. Still hasn't helped me at not scaring away the ricers though... none of em want to play :(
