I currently have some kind of bassani x pipe on my car.(the previous owner installed it) Was wondering if there is any or much benefit to a o/r x pipe, versus the reg x or h pipe??

im not sure if this is what your asking, but are you asking is an o/r xpipe better than an xpipe w/cats? if thats your question, o/r yields a few more ponies an will def bring the raspyness up in your car; if you want your car hella loud then go with o/r definately. but if your asking if bassani is better than a cheapo brand of xpipe, i would have no idea but my guess is it depends on what the piping is made of an i would guess you would see similar results............hope that helps bro
It depends. The O/R bassani X that came on my car was too loud for my taste at partial throttle, so I bought a catted bassani X. Sounds much better now IMO for just cruising around and not sounding like you're looking for the starting grid at nascar or something.
The only difference in sound, as far as I can describe, is that there is less of a hollow/tinny sound with the cats in place. The exhaust note is also much more muted. Sounds like a very loud factory car versus a straight piped SOB. Still hasn't helped me at not scaring away the ricers though... none of em want to play :(
Black 1998 GT- PI swap, 3.73's, off road h pipe, flows & some suspension goodies
White 1986 GT T-Tops- BBK shorties, RAM clutch/flywheel, Bassani catted x pipe, MSD ignition, MAC cai, LMM lowering springs, adjustable skocks & struts, MGW short throw, DD
Black 2009 Yamaha YZF-R6- custom levers, -1 front sprocket, Jardine GP-1 exhaust, HIDs, custom undertail, custom black windscreen.
bassani is one of the better companies as far as quality goes. i personally am not the biggest fan of their crossover, but its a very well built piece that will do the job just fine

my vote is keep your bassani xpipe an put the money into something you dont have instead of replacing a mod thats perfectly fine that you already have...just my 2 cents![]()

if your going to get MAC headers (which I dont really suggest) get a xpipe by a company called VRS. they make awesome stuff and it will fit the MAC headers.
Just makes sure u get the shorty xpipe so that it works with your headers. Regular xpipes wont work

y dont you like the mac headers?
mac headers arent the greatest quality. If you dont get them ceramic coated they wont last much longer than a year or 2. Even if you do get them ceramic coated their coating isnt that great and they wont last much longer than 5 years, and thats assuming that you dont drive it in the winter. Some have fitment problems, some don't but my main problem with mac is their poor coating. I would at least get some BBK headers if not even better (ie kooks, slp...)
