    new boss block

I have one of those new boos blocks here at the shop for a customer. and i have been chicking it out for a while and man i am pretty impressed with it, other than needing main studs and some casting cleaned up, this thing looks better than a dart block, hte price deff looks better..

They are a great block for the price but the only issue with them is that the cylinder length's are shorter on them causing a need to stay 331 or smaller or using a custom piston for a larger engine. There is tons and tons of information out there about this posted up by many, many reputable engine builders. Other than that it seems like a great piece!

i think they said 3.40" stroke crank is the biggest you can use.. And try to keep in mind that most engine builders like to sell dart blocks becuase they make 3-400$ on each sale, and the boss block is priced so good righ tnow that they cant make any money on them so they are saying this and that about them.. just my .02$ but at this point it is hard to say wich is stronger..

Man Tim, you were right. The new Boss 302 block is VERY impressive looking. I picked mine up on Thursday and couldn't beleive how beefy the lifter valley is. It's a no brainer to go with one of these for anyone looking to make any kind of serious horsepower.

Also gotta thank Lou for taking care of ordering it for me. Anyone else thinking about getting one should contact him.
