    Blower in need tune

    I just finished installing a vortech supercharger and I need to get the car tuned. Not sure how to set the timing,and check the air/fuel. Anyone know who can tune it for me??


    MSD ignition/King Cobra clutch/Polished Cobra upper and lower/Ported GT40p w RR/ 70mm tb/ 24 lb injectors/ pullies/ Mac cold air/ Mac long tubes/ H pipe/ 3:73 gears/ 3g alt/ welded sub frames/ Alum driveshaft/ CC plates/125 shot of juice/custom trunk/suspension goodies.
    FIRST PLACE 87-93 FOX BODY BUCKEYE STANGS SHOW 2010 AT SUMMIT RACING
    283 hp / 320 tq on mustang dyno (all motor)

    dude.. do you have a timing light?? if not go and get one, that is something you should want to check now and then, alls you do is unplug the spout connector,then hook the pick up clip to #1 plugwire and hook up the pos and neg of the light and point it at your timing pointer and read the #s, then turn the dist to adjust it while you are watching the timing pointer.. that is to just check the timing, you should really take it to sgs or lasota to get it totally tuned..

    Ill pick one up tommorow, should I set it to stock spec or bump it with the blower?

    Set it at 10 degree till you can get the A/F checked.

    well if you just wanna run it around a little you should just set it low(like 8-10 degrees), but i would not beat on it till you get it fully tuned..

    I would suggest taking it either to SGS near Gettysburg or Don Lasota in Columbus. Unfortuantely, there is no one locally that is worth a shit to tune it.

    Anyone ever herd of asa performance on rt 8? My friend has a gto and this guy did a custom installed supercharger and tune on it. He told me he would be able to dyno tune it. I never herd of this place.nor have I ever herd him mentioned on the forums. I would hate to drive the car to Columbus or Gettysburg, but if they are the best then I will make the trip!

    If you want your car to be towed home, go there. HAHAHAHHA There is a thread floating around this site about them. I stated once before that I would not let them tune my lawnmower. Next day a bud of mine went there for a tune. Kaboom!!!!! HAHAHAHha He never asked first.

    ...and you might want to get some drag radials pretty soon, as traction is going to be a problem!!!

    Maybe we can get a group discount on a few TKOs
    ...I know my T5 is operating beyond its limits, and I bet our power is pretty comparable now.

    A wide band air/fuel meter might be a nice addition.
