    I had a BBK catted x-pipe on my 01 and i would never buy another BBK exhaust part again. It leaked at the driver side manifold and i could never get it to seal up.

    it really depends on what part your buying.

    I would use a BBK midpipe on my car if someone gave it to me.
    On the other hand i have BBK longtubes and i love them. Good coating and good fitment. No problems with rust at all.

    On the other hand i've heard good things about mac midpipes and catbacks. a lot of people love their catbacks and that prochamber thing (im not a fan of it but many are).
    Mac headers are not equal quality of BBK. Every set i've seen personally, which was quite a few, were rusted and crappy looking. I've heard of multiple people taking them off the car because they rusted so bad. That shouldnt happen.

    So long story short

    Headers = BBK
    Midpipe/Catback = Mac

    and that is just out of the 2. there are way better options

    Bassani, SLP, Magnaflow....There are a ton of good quality companies out there. They are gonna cost a little more but they are worth it. UPR is also decent if you are on a budget.

    i wasnt aware bassani made longtube headers for mustangs. i thought they only made midlengths. if thats what you are talking about their midlength headers they are pretty damn good. they dont hang as low as longtubes and their fitment is great.

    i've actually seen a side by side comparison showing these midlength headers make more power than longtubes, but i think it was on an 03-04 cobra

    Stainless works make some seriously nice headers. I have a set in my garage waiting for me to install. I have never seen headers crafted this well but again they are handcrafted.
