Anyone ever been to Speed Week? It's coming up in a few weeks and my dad is making the trip out. I just thought I'd ask and see if anyone knew of good places to see or stop along the way. They have mapped out Speedway Motors in NE, Indy, Sprint Car Museum in Iowa, Caddillac Ranch, and a few others. My dad and the guy he is going with are both retired and are taking atleast 18+ days to go out and back so if you know a place off the beaten path, it's not a problem. I think the coolest part about their trip is they are going in a 1920's Ford Tub with no roof or windows that's powered by a 40's Caddy enginge! The round trip mileage will be over 4500 miles in an old school hot rod with no support vehicle or anything. Their plan if the car breaks down is to sell it wherever they are and fly back!!!
