mystichrome paint???

i "think" i want to paint my fox the 04 mystichrome. anyone know where i can get it and an approx price?

I thought I read somewhere that you can't buy it unless you are a dealership. I could be wrong.

Was that the mod fox? I heard it was real nice.

Rick, that stuff is real expensive. I will talk to a buddy of mine today to see if he can get it from his work. Works in a big body shop.

I work at a dealership body shop and yes it is expensive, ppg makes it and house of color has it to do the whole car in all three stages ( base, flop and clear ) Id est about $2500 just for material ; you really have to get the prep perfect with 3 stage so figure labor in and your looking at a $4000 basic respray- yikes

yes it is

the guy took a real teal 93 cobra and an 04 mystichrome cobra and combined them

used the drivetrain and interior from the 04 and put it into the fox body then painted it

here is some food for thought. Mystic Chrome and mystichrome are not the same paint. I think Mystic Chrome has more colors in it?

MAKE SURE you have not a good but a great painter use this paint for you!!!! it is very very very easy to screw up, air pressure/humidity/ambient temp/fluid nozzel/fan pattern and size, everything affects this paint... i painted the rear axle in my car with it when i was 19-20 years old, and after that i dont think i will ever try to use it again. I used to work in a (corvette)bodyshop, and we sprayed alot of pearls and high metallics, and this stuff is stupid hard to use. I just dont wanna see you waste alot of money on the paint and not be happy...
