    Route 22 in Salem

I couldn't find any definitive information on the renew22.com of Penndot district 12 sites, so I hit Penndot's home page on Monday and sent an email. Yesterday, a contact in District 12 left me a message. Kudos to Penndot for the quick return call and info.

Route 22, in both directions, is restricted to 1 lane from Hanna's Town Road (where Liberty Trucking is at the bottom of the hill past the Climax) to 119. There will be no closures, 1 lane will always be open, so traffic should always move. It might get a little slow through the work zone if you get behind a truck, or when the work zone is active, but sounds like it will keep moving.

Also, 22 from Cozy Inn in Murrysville to 66 looks like it's getting closer to being done. They moved the eastbound traffic back over to the eastbound lanes, though it's still 1 lane in each direction (as of last night).

Oh thank god. That intersection was getting crazy with the backed up traffic.

we refer to 22 as the devils back bone, nothing good ever happens on it. Either you get stuck in traffic, pulled over for some ridiculous sh!t, or some idiot tries to rear end you. i avoid it as much as possible.
