Wanted: T-5 transmission

i need a t-5 tranny asap. looking for one that is in good shape, not really looking to rebuild one but let me know what you got....

Do yourself a favor Ryan and look for a Tremec. 3550's can be found for decent prices if you don't need to go the TKO route.

TKO is prob overkill for me. ill just be N/A, p heads, cobra intake. nothing crazy.

i dont know much about the 3550. i thought they were for the mod motors? didnt even think i could use one on a 302? can you give me some more info on them?

That's a 3650 you're thinking of. The 3550 later became the TKO 500. They a bolt in replacement to the T5 with the only exception being the need of a different bellhousing. You retain the stock driveshaft yoke and 10 spline clutch disc. Like I said, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR! The T5's are JUNK!

yeah thats the one i was thinking of. i didnt know the 3550's were a direct bolt in thanks for that info


anyways, after getting this info, i'd also be interested in a 3550 as well. but i will still like to hear if anyone has t-5's as they can be had much cheaper and i'm just looking to get my car moving for now.

RYAN!, dont bling disssshona to your famiry. go 3550 or else your clutch will explode and in turn f*ck your tranny up like mine haha! BTW i just double clutch to get into 1st now. just waiting till next week til the new one comes in.

i have a tremec 3550 fresh rebuild all new blocker rings, new 1-2 slider and hub assembly new need roller bearings in the input, also have a spec stage 3 clutch and a pro 5.0 shifter to go with it. let me know if u are interested
