Thread: Keyfob question???

    Keyfob question???

    i bought a keyfob for my mustang is there anyway for me to program it? or do i have to take it to a dealer?

    It should be in the owners manual. You will have to have all fobs when you do it.

    This will be the only one....thats why i got it. only got one key and no fob lol

    1. Cycle the ign from off to on 8 times ending in the on position.
    (within 10 seconds)
    At this point your locks will cycle ( they will lock and then unlock )

    2. Press and hold the lock or unlock button on the 1st remote you want to program.

    The locks will cycle ( they will lock and then unlock ) letting you know that it was
    accepted.

    3. Now quickly repeat for multiple remotes.

    Again the locks will cycle letting you know it was accepted.

    4. Shut the ignition off now and the locks will cycle one last time.

    Finished


    this is how i did my old 2000. the 94-98 are a little different.

    94-98's have to be done with a scan tool.

    this is how i did my old 2000. the 94-98 are a little different.

    94-98 just need to have the black box plug in the driver side tunk to be jumped and it will work. just like step 2 above
