Question Do You Carry A Spare Tire?

HI. Just wondering how many of you carry that heavy spare tire with you? That thing weighs a ton and if you belong to the likes of AAA, I wonder if you need that thing?

Do you carry a full size spare, or do they still use those space savers? (Yep, I'm talking about cars...LOL)

I went to 5-lug. Now with the 13" front brakes, I need a Cobra spare. Too cheap to buy one, so the answer to your question is no. I dont carry one.

Yup. AAA is a PITA with a low car. The flat bed driver will need to have boards or your out of luck or scraping your bumper off.

edit: although just last night I broke my habit of only keeping less than a 1/2 tank of gas in the car at all times. Who am I kidding with that lol.

Nope. Weld wheels all around requiring mag shank nuts, 26" tall fronts and 27" tall rears. too. It's easier to carry a cell phone and go get two wheels, lugs and a real jack from home :D

I do however have a plug kit in the glove box.

Probably AAA would carry a plug kit, but they would probably tow you? Has anyone ever tried that fix-a-flat in a can?

no need to carry one. they dont make one that will clear the 14" rotors so all I carry is a can of fix a flat. it will get me to the nearest tire place. lol

update: It was just pointed out to me that I took off the spare tire on my daily driver, but I won't go anywhere in the cobra without one. Go figure.

ya I know... but its on the rear door of the truck. I think it looks pretty neat without it, or at least different. I'll put it back on soon once I get bored of how it looks I'm sure.
