HDR shots of the 10th

I've been enjoying driving the car around the past few weeks in its "business" socks, so to speak... so I thought I'd take the opportunity to take some pictures of the car with the anniversary wheels on :)

As far as the HDR pictures go, these were done by taking 3 exposures (-2, metered, +2) and merging them in photomatix and doing a little bit of touching up in photoshop on a couple of pictures. Some of the pictures came out great, some kinda lack luster, but either way it was interesting to play around and try to learn some new photography skills.

I can post the non HDR shots too if you guys would like, but I don't have them uploaded at this time. Let me know what numbers & I'll get around to it sooner or later.

What do you guys think? I'm not 100% sold on HDR shots, but some did come out better than others... and the ones that did come out well I really like. Some looked like ass though hahaha.

Thanks! I still have them, but I'm going to be putting some black centercaps in them, so they're still off the car because you have to take the wheels off to get the centercaps out. I had a mix up with the wheel company, so I got the wrong black for my center caps that don't match. I'm waiting on a new set of caps, and then they'll be back on, which I can't wait for. They look sooooooooo much better than the stock wheels that I'm kinda tempted to do it...

I'm using a canon digital rebel xt. I use either the canon kit lens (18-55mm) or a tamron 28-300mm lens for all my pictures I post. All of these were taken with the tamron

thanks guys, as long as I have the free time I love taking pictures of stuff..... in fact..... thats where I'm going right now :)

edited one a little more to give it a darker feel w/ some more saturation.

That is just flat out nasty. Your car looks mean as hell in those shots.

You need some HIDs and itll really be sick.

I use an rebel Xti with a canon IS 17-85mm lens, and I too use photomatix for HDR shots. i haven't taken any HRD's of my car yet, but I've done a few of my family's farm and its like you said, they either come out incredible or they look like crap.

i think i crapped my pants haha wow bo those shots look amazing...everyone has me itching for an hdr camera now.....hey bo we should get together sometime this week an shoot some shots...you only live 10 min away from me ya know lol
