Anyone have/used a sticky pod or other car camera mount?

I want a car camera mount and have been looking at the sticky pod. Does anyone have one, or has anyone used one? From the videos on their site it looks like a stout piece, but I want to hear from someone that has it to see if its as strong as it claims.

Does anyone know of any other car camera mounting devises, even if they are in car ones?

Anyone know if these are allowed to be run at a drag strip or an autocross event?

If you run one in drag racing it has to have a strap on it. Check out the link I posted up, they have some pictures.
