I would not use a gear drive because of the harmonik vibrations they make, you cant hear them or feel them but they reak havok on other parts... i would stick with the good ol double roller..
2015 A6 Mustang GT that so far has gone 9.48@147 but still the fastest prochargerd S550 in the world aside from Tim Essick's!

I think gear drives claim that they're more accurate, since chains may stretch some over their lives. I don't know about Ford engines, but I know certain year sbc's required machining for the gear drives to sit right against the face of the block.
Just my 2 cents... but always degree your cam when installing a new chain, to make sure everything is right. I put a new chain on the 455 Olds I was building this spring, thought I put it on straight up, reusing the same cam, thought I didn't need to degree it. I hung all 8 exhaust valves open, nicked the tops of the pistons, got crap down in the rod bearings. $600 lesson.
Hey im putting a 408 together right now and i put a double roller in mine.
In the process of putting together a 408w backed by a tko 600 and a 456 gear.
thanks guys good info coming from you guys.didn't really make up my mind yet though
If your looking for something really accurate, go with the Jesel belt drive.

There are more but that's all that was logged!!!
Buy a good double roller chain with a thrust bearing set up and call it a day. I do not like gear drives because of all the vibrations they induce into the valvetrain.
