    Waterfront Car Show

I just happened upon it around noon. People were just starting to arrive. I asked someone there if it was any particular group and they said it was to raise money for cancer research.
It is in the parking lot off the main road right before you get to Lowes home improvement.
Thought I'd throw it out there in case anyone's looking for something to do.

It was just starting to get set up when I was there. There were only 5-6 cars, but they exp[ected a pretty big turnout.
I may head back down in a little while. I'll be driving a black 91 LX.

    Just got back from there.
    As far as Mustangs, there was 1 Fox, 1 '03 S281 Saleen, and a red '69? Mach1.
A bunch of lowered pickup trucks and various old iron. Maybe a total of 50 cars.

The Fox was pearl white with 19" rims. Also had a DSS forged rotating assembly and a Vortech. Everything was installed and tuned with a flip chip by Ron Anderson. Owner said 650+ HP. All the work on the car was farmed out. Owner said he always wanted a fast street car. Well from the sum of the parts I saw, he sure got one.

I should have taken my camera.
One thing I found odd about the Fox, or maybe the Foxes owner, was that it had an 86 dash and console with everything else being 87-93. I asked the guy if the car used to be a foureye. He said he thinks it came that way from the factory. The aero body came in 87 and Ford had some 86 dash and consoles left so they used them.
I was going to tell the guy I'd never heard of that before and that it was highly unlikely, but he seemed very happy about the idea he might have a very rare car so I didn't say anything.
Whatever floats your boat. He seemed like a real nice guy though.
