computer guys need your help....how do you enable cookies on a website?

ok so im not too great with computers but i had to buy this thing for school online an the teacher puts online quizes an assignements on it an i go to it an log in an do them...everything i try to log in it says you must enable cookies on my browser to log into this site....how the heck do i do that? hope youguys can help me out so i can get this hw done

For firefox tools->options->privacy->enable all cookies

ie tools->internet options->privacy->set it to a level that works
