    converter lock up switch

    I have a manual valve body and I am wondering when I hook up a switch to lock my converter when is the best time to lock it when im driving/racing. should I hit it in 3rd gear 2nd or what?

    Im pretty sure to wire the switch up I have to take the (tcc) from the tranny run that to a switch and then to a ground. any info would help. thanks

    Most guys lock them up in 3rd gear.
