Anyone got a fast street car in pgh??

I don't think "Mustangs" and "Corvettes" were compared in magazines... atleast not until the z06 and shelby gt500...

until then, it was obvious that they were two different monsters, as clark said...

i never said anything that compared the handling of the two cars. I know the vette is a better handling car and i was prefacing that by saying that i drove one on a track. I'm not saying one is always better than the other; but for me i found that i liked the old cobra more than the new vette. Sorry if i didn't make that clear enough. Besides that, i wouldn't have been able to enjoy the vette in the same way as the cobra because i wouldn't have been able to find one as perfect as mine or nearly as fast as mine for anywhere near the same price- which was very important to me

Basically the only thing that we have to learn here, is that everyone likes what they like. Some people like fords, chevys, mopar, honda, mitsu.. And to be a true car guy you have to have respect for them all, just cause it does not have a bowtie or a ford emblem does not make them any worse or any better. To me what makes the car is the owner. I have met many people who cars are simple amazing and after talking to the owner, i would not ever want to buy it and i could see a car i some what like and talk to the owner who is a nice guy and would have respect for him and the car. Its just the people who drive them and work on them that make the car...

definitely post some sort of info, otherwise this thread has gone by the wayside. I've seen some videos of upper pulley only vert cobras beating c5 z06, so i'm assuming its something serious

doesn't really matter if its got heads/cams... the ls6 had some small differences from the ls1, but the power came from the better factory heads and larger factory cam... with heads/cam, that's completely blown away - and with this being a drag race, the z06's substantial suspension upgrades aren't going to do much either - thus, i dont think it will matter whether or not its a z06 or not....

your car is a sleeper, you still have the factory wheels lol. A good ear will give the snails away though... I was just wondering if it was a z because they have better gearing than the regular and weigh a bit less. I was also just making sure he wasn't talking about the new z otherwise we could all go home with a bruised ego
