Thread: Talon FINALLY dyno'd!

    Talon FINALLY dyno'd!

First off big thanks to TPGtuning for the dyno time, tuning, and hlp with the alternator and crank pulley stuff.

I'm on my phone still so I'll post more in a couple hours about what happened. Car I fine so don't worry.

I'll post the dyno link later when I get home but here are the #s

    642.7whp
    495.5ft/lbs

Stock ignition, no spray, no knock. we would have gone further but my boost controller only let us go to 36psi.

I have an ARC-2 on order already and we'll be back to try and break 700whp off spray with I.

It's very laggy so from a roll and short shifts its very mild but you look down and you're flying.

Ok, here is the official results picture.

Keep in mind a few things I mentioned above, also we had 0 knock counts during any of the pulls and this wsa 36psi, there's a lot more in it.

    Now for the bad:

Apparently my crank pulley bolts loosened up on the dyno, we took it down the street, made 1 pull and my $300 fluidampr is now a paperweight. I'm glad that's all that happened and it's certainly replaceable but I'd like to thank the guys that were there for helping me out and getting me a new stocker so quickly.

I need to go over the car this weekend and button a few things up, this turbo is REALLY laggy so next time up we're going to work on getting the spray set up.

What is really crazy is we made that kind of power on the stock ignition. I'm going to put the Arc2 on, fill the bottle, get a different boost controller and work on breaking 700whp wit it...then hit the 100 shot :)

All was done with the MAF, far as I know NAte did no tuning using MAP. It was consistant as hell too, we made more power every pull.

I'm going to take it to PRP Wednesday but i'm going with low expectations - I hope I'm surprised.

From what I saw he didn't spend a whole lot of time actually doing any "tuning" He set up the tune, realized cam timing needed played with, and was like - crank the boost....haha.

It just kept making power each psi we gave it.

Not happening now, something decided to cut my timing belt in half down the middle today on the way to my g/fs house. Have another one on order but won't have it this week most likely.

Awesome numbers and track times!! Gotta love that 4g63! :)

When I first saw the dyno graphs I thought "yea its nice but by the time it spools you have to shift". Glad to see the track times to back up the dyno sheet! Total respect!
