    wheel help

Alright guys need some insite from the cobra gurus on the site. Got a 03 kb cobra and yeah drag radials on 18in wheels just aint going to get it done when it comes to anything other then a nice highway pull. The car is lowered on h&r springs so yeah its really low. i aint sure what wheel and tire combo will fit thats why i am here to ask. I aint going to go 15X10 cause i really dont want to modify the irs like some of done. and for tires i am going to run a et street. so what are my wheel options, and what size tire will fit with a lowered cobra.

16x10 with ET Streets will be the bolt on way. Any 15" will require grinding of the rear knuckles which I would not do.

Yeah i didnt want to do the grinding on the knuckle thats why i said i wasnt going to do 15X10. i was thinking about getting a set of the diamond racing wheels. see them alot over on svtperformance. they are cheap and come in 16X10. my biggest concern was what size et street am i going to be able to fit being that the car is so low. I dont want to roll my lips to get them to work.

You should be able to run a 26x11.5 et street. Many run that combo on the exact wheels you were talking about or the mustang waffle wheels

Thanks for the reply. I just wasnt sure with an 11.5 if i would have to roll the wheel lip to get them to not rub. i was hoping to be able to run the 11.5. maybe i will be able to find someone in the area with that combo and do some test fitting on the car. gotta get them soon so i can get to the track and see what i can do

Buddy of mine had the same setup as you with the h&r springs, irs car. He had the 16" diamond wheels with the 26x11.5 et streets, he ran this combo without any issues to my knowledge. Good luck either way

do you still have the stock rims? if so, they make a 17 in mt et street that works great at the track.
