I was told when using street tires at the track don't do a burnout. I have summitomos (I know they are junk) but I was wondering what you guys think I should do when I eventually make it to prp.

with street tires i dont think its gonna make a difference if u do a big burn out, but i was told just spin them a little bit to get the rocks and stuff off the tires

1998 Honda Civic Stock DD
1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 4 inch rough country suspension lift and BFG 32 inch M/Ts
2000 Seadoo RX Millenium Edition 951
You want to spin them enough to dry them off, but not to get them smokey.

he's into that, that spiritual stuff. <><
due everyone a big favor stay out of the water box with a street tire cause all they do is drag the water out for u and the next 3 guys. street tire just come thru dump it in first spin the quick to get anything on them off and go.
Depending on the tire, a burnout could actually bring out chemicals that make the tire slick (as in slippery). When I ran regular BFG TA's, I'd do a 3 second burnout to clean them off, and only dropped a few psi out of them, running around 30psi. You can't drive around the burnout boxes at PRP. I try to catch the water box guys attention and wave off the hose if it looks like there's enough water down already.
I used to do a John Force style just to do it. HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA
